FAQ

What are wax melts

Wax melts are scented pieces of wax that we melt in a burner to release the fragrance held within.
They come in various shapes and sizes and fill your home with hours of scent.
Unlike candles , the wax does not evaporate; only the scent dissipates.
Once you can no longer smell the fragrance, you can soak up your used wax and start a new scent.

How do i use a wax melt.

Place your chosen choice into the dish of your burner and let it melt. This will release its sent.
DO NOT add anything else to the dish.

                                               What is a burner

There are two main types of wax melt burners, tealight and electric.
Tea light burners are most common and generally consist of a bowl/dish above a tea light candle.
Electric burners are flame less and powered by electricity. They also consist of a bowl/dish over a heat source provided by the burner.

When should i change my melt?

When there is no longer a fragrance being released.

What is the difference between bars ans clamshells?

The wax and scents are the same. the difference is simply the weight of the wax and how its presented.
It is a personal preferance as to how you like your wax.

What is the best way to remove your wax from the burner?

Light your tea light/ switch burner on, and leave for around 30 seconds to a minute.
The wax will still be solid but you will be able to slip it out, by stablilizing the burner with one hand, gently press down.
You should then be able to slide the old wax off. Then wipe any excess with a cotton pad.
Another way is to use a cotton wool ball to soak up the warm wax.
Then dispose of the cotton wool.
Some warmers can be put in the freezer and the frozen wax simply pops out.
However not all burners are suitable so please check with the manufacturer before doing this.
